Chatbooks are pretty much my most favorite thing ever, so I decided it was I time I wrote a Chatbooks review! I discovered Chatbooks through the families I babysat for this past summer. The moms used this simple way of scrapbooking as a way to record their kids’ lives. Well, I don’t have kids, but I am a busy college student who wants to physically record my adventures without breaking the bank. And Chatbooks is a great way to do… Read more »

IT’S FINALLY TIME!!! Whoo hoo!! I’ve been wanting to rename CWK for like forever now! And the time has finally come! So I’m happy to introduce y’all to Joy Because Grace. “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith…” -Ephesians 2:8 We have joy, because we have grace. Because Jesus saved us from our sin and ourselves, we have joy. There is joy in our lives because there is grace in our lives. This fact shouldn’t change… Read more »

Modesty. If there was a list of all of the controversial topics within the Christian faith, modesty would definitely be on the list. We know it’s important, but what does it mean? How short should skirts be? Are spaghetti straps sinful? What about makeup- how much is too much? Is braiding hair wrong? All of these questions (and more) have lingered on my mind at one point or another. But here’s the thing: none of these “rules” are important. The… Read more »

Today’s guest post is by Rhiannon of Whatsoever is Lovely Living I have always loved flowers. My favorites are pink Gerber Daisies. I love how God designed the flower to start off as a tiny seed then with time and the right elements this seed begins to transform into a plant. The plant then grows into a bud and from a bud we see a beautiful flower emerge. This is a lot like what God did in my life. During… Read more »

Vision. ^^That’s what I’ve been praying for. Vision and purpose to know where to take Coffee With Kara in the future. In November, my Sunday School teacher pulled from John 15 to support his lesson. He referenced the “Christ is the vine, we are the branches” passage. And as my teacher was reading this passage, a word stood out to me. Abide. I couldn’t get that word out of my head. What does “abide” even mean? It’s a really fancy… Read more »

IT’S OCTOBER EVERYBODY!!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!!  You know how Olaf from Frozen feels about summer? {“I don’t know why but I’ve always loved the idea of summer, and sun, and all things hot!”} Well, that’s how I feel about October. {I can’t wait for October, and fall, and all things pumpkin!} I’ve been looking forward to October pretty much since August ended. Here where I live in Texas, September is a weird month. It’s not really summer, but it’s not fall either. I guess… Read more »

I’m definitely guilty of this. Twitter, Facebook, E-mail, Bloglovin’, Instagram, and now Periscope- they all need to be checked right away so the little red notification bubble can go away. (I can’t stand those red notification bubbles!!)… Read more »

So, I turned 19 on Sunday. And at some point that day it hit me that I only have one more year as a teenager. Around Pinterest I’ve seen some other people have created a “Thirty Before Thirty” bucket list for themselves. I rather like that idea. However, since I’m not in my twenty’s yet, I thought I would create a “Twenty Before Twenty” list. And, considering I only have one year to complete these tasks, I thought of practical-… Read more »

God has blessed me so much by giving me such a great suite-family. I love these girls so much! Over the last semester we’ve gotten super close, and they’re my best friends. We’ve had so many adventures… And we have a fantastic group text going on: I’m so thankful for these girls, and so glad I was able to live with them this past year. I’m gonna miss them greatly over the summer! Totally bummed that this is our last… Read more »
